I’m Daniel J Brant, a filmmaker and director with aspirations of doing what I love and getting paid for it.

From a young age, I was a storyteller. I drew cartoons and comic books, wrote stories and strutted the stage as a child actor. When I was 19 I started to get interested in filmmaking and shot lots of Jackie Chan style fight sequences with my friends (that picture makes more sense now, doesn’t it?) as a way of learning my craft. I studied film and video production at university, became a multi-skilled self-shooter and started my own small production company, Enborne River. But I’ve always had my eye on the director’s chair…

This blog charts my attempts and progress, failures and successes, trying to carve out a career as a film and TV drama director. Hopefully, it’ll be entertaining, interesting and full of laughs and lessons for those who are trying to walk the same path.

So from the sofa to the coveted chair, this is my story.(c) Daniel J Brant www.enborneriver.co.uk
